July-August 2016

Self directed glass art residency, Salem State University, Salem, Mass. A one month residency working alongside 3 other international glass artists.

May 2016

Shortlisted Artist,  nominated for the Foote Prize in Edmonton, Alberta. The Foote Prize is given out to an Edmonton Artist who has showcased work in a prominent gallery in previous year.

October 2013-Present

Full Time Glass Artist, working out of Blow In The Dark Glassworks Glass Studio Edmonton, Alberta. Teaching Beginners, designing custom awards for local organizations and working on large public art installations. Participating in “artist in residence” programs with local schools such as: Virginia Park, L.Y Cairns and Highlands Junior High

September 2014-Present

Resident Glass Artist, engaging students at Highlands Junior High School in glass related art projects.

August 2012-Oct 2013

Lead Artist (part-time) for Nina Haggerty Centre flat glass program (slumping/fusing), finished off “Blowing Minds” Project and installed with Paul Freeman, 103-piece “chandelier/mobile” at Eastwood Health Centre 7910-112ave Edmonton.

May 2012

Poleturner for Pilchuck Glass School (Stanwood, WASH). Volunteer glassblower assisting other glass artists to make centerpieces for the schools annual fundraising auction.

Juror, Alberta Foundation For The Arts reviewing project grant applications and meeting with other jurors and the AFA to discuss the applications.

Glass Instructor, “Blowing Minds”(glassblowing project-5 months), partnership with Nina Haggerty Centre teaching adults with disabilities how to work with hot glass, retrospective show at conclusion or collaborative group sculpture.

Award Designer commissioned by the City of Edmonton to design and create the City Manager’s Award Of Excellence in its debut year.

Award Designer; commissioned for third year in a row by Edmonton Pride Week Society to design and make glass awards for deserving recipients during Edmonton Pride Week.

Shortlisted Public Artist; for Strathcona County Library Balcony Mural Project. One of three artists to develop a maquette and discuss the proposal in person.

Student, while attending “Twofa” Katherine Gray and Nancy Callan’s Glass Course at the Pittsburgh Glass Centre.

June 2009

Award Designer; commissioned for second year in a row by Edmonton Pride Week Society to design and make glass awards for deserving recipients during Edmonton Pride Week.

May 2009

Chosen as Shortlisted Public Artist for Red Deer RCMP Public Art Project #1. Project managed by The City of Red Deer Culture Services. Shortlisted, one of three artists chosen to develop a maquette of the sculpture piece and present in person, a more in depth proposal with regards to the project.

October 2008

Worked as a Glassblower for Lyndal Osborne. 100 large hand blown glass vessels were created to encapsulate sculptural items made by Lyndal Osborne for an installation. The vessels and their sculptural counterparts are part of an art installation entitled “AB OVO” and is in part of a larger group show entitled “IMAGINING SCIENCE” which had it’s debut at the ART GALLERY OF ALBERTA in November 2008 and ran through to February 2009.

June 2007

Glassblower for Lyndal Osborne. Large glass vessels were needed to encapsulate sculptural items. Vessels were specific for the art piece ”Endless Forms Most Beautiful” in the touring art exhibit “Landscape Stories”.

May 2006

Volunteered as a Poleturner for Pilchuck Glass School, worked with others to produce large- scale glass centerpieces for school’s auction. Assistant to Jason Johnsen, Chuck Vannata, Kelly Dell and Chuck Lopez (centerpiece designer).

June 2005

Worked as a Teacher’s Assistant, for Jeff Holmwood, “Advanced Glass Blowing For Beginners”, Red Deer College summer “Hot Glass” program.

May 2005

Volunteered as a Poleturner for Pilchuck Glass School, worked with others to produce large-scale glass centerpieces for school’s auction. Assistant to Chuck Lopez, Chuck Vannata, Jay Macdonell and Ann Walstrom (centerpiece designer)

“LESS is MORE”, solo exhibit at Alberta Craft Council Discovery Gallery, An installation based exhibit showcasing a mixed media display of hand blown glass and found objects.

January 2015

“15 on 35”- a group exhibition at Alberta Craft Council Feature Gallery where the focus of the 15 selected artists showcase new work and discuss their careers with the craft council during its 35 year existence and where they may see projections for the future.

July 2015

“Continuum”- a group exhibition at Alberta Craft Council Feature Gallery where the focus of participating artists is showcasing new works and discussion on teaching methods and the future of fine craft.

A permanent glass installation of hand blown glass components displayed in a low-relief wall mounted sculptural composition. Located at Fort Saskatchewan City Hall.

Awarded Alberta Foundation For The Arts- Project Grant
Grant awarded for the production of new sculptural work designed for site- specific permanent public art installation at Muttart Conservatory Edmonton.

Grant awarded for purchasing raw materials to build glass equipment for continued art production.
